Fudge Brownies in a Jar

I love to give homemade gifts for Christmas, I think it shows that I put extra thought and effort into a gift. For a few coworkers I wanted to give dessert jars with delicious brownies. I’ve made these many times and they are so easy. You pour all the dry ingredients into the bowl, add a few simple wet ingredients, stir, and your set! I know I would love to receive this for Christmas, it’s one less dessert to make. So if your needing a last minute gift idea, here you go!

Dry Ingredients for Jar:

  • 1 cup + 2 T. flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1/2-3/4 cups chocolate chips (depending on preference)

Directions for Label:

Mix contents of jar with:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2/3 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Pour into a greased 9″ square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 or until a knife inserted comes out clean. Let cool, and enjoy!

*I used a 1 quart size, wide mouth mason jar.
