DIY Chalkboard Paint Wine Glasses

win glasses

I saw these chalkboard paint wine glasses on Pinterest and thought they were a really cute Christmas gift idea! I have a ton of coworkers and out of town family members that are hard to buy for it can also get expensive buying gifts for 5-10 people that are not immediate family. I love making gifts and these are very useful for parties so it worked out great!

I bought 16 wine glasses at the Dollar Store. Make sure you clean the glasses first. Also, stir the paint, do not shake because it will cause air bubbles on the glasses. I made the huge mistake of doing this and had to start all over!

1. Pour paint in a Tupperware bowl that you are not going to use again. Lay out wax paper on a flat surface.

2. Dip the wine glasses in the paint and use the sponge brush to wipe off the excess paint on the bottom. Set the glass on the wax paper.

3. After about 10 minutes, pick the glass up and wipe excess paint that has dripped around the bottom rim and set back on the wax paper.

4. If you see any air bubbles, try to pop with a toothpick right away and smooth out while wet with the sponge brush. Let dry overnight.
