I found a recipe for the most famous pancakes ever…IHOP Pancakes! I have loved these since I was a kid so when I found this copy cat recipe I wanted to try it out immediately. I made them this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. They are pretty close to the original and full of wonderful buttermilk flavor!Β Although nothing is quite like the IHOP’s famous original pancakes, they are melt in your mouth delicious!! Hope you enjoy!

These look and sound lovely, dont suppose you have the recipe in metric?
Thank you! I’m so sorry, I don’t π¦
I have made these 3 mornings in a row! My kids absolutely love them! Out of 7 pancakes I got 1!!!
That’s awesome!! Not that you starved that morning, lol but that everyone loved them so much. Looks like you might need to hide a couple for yourself π
I had some great blueberry pancakes at a little restaurant called the The Skillet. Then last weekend at my daughter’s I made some chocolate chip pancakes using Hungry Jack Pancake mix and I thought the taste and texture was very similar.
I love these pancakes, they are so good with hot syrup π
I just made these, and they are delicious! I don’t think I’ve had a better pancake, not even the ones that all you have to do is add water. These pancakes are by far my favorite ones. Thanks for the recipe! π
Awesome!! So glad you like them as much as I do!!
I just made these this morning for my family and my husband really enjoyed them. While I would probably need to have a stack of pancakes from IHOP right next to them to compare, I will say they were delicious and we enjoyed them very much. Thank you for this great recipe. As my husband said, “these are a keeper”.
I love them too! I also love adding blueberries π I’m so glad your family enjoyed them as much as mine!
Self-rising flour or all purpose?
All-purpose flour
My family enjoyed these, but for some reason they didn’t rise much. They weren’t fluffy at all…maybe too much milk or what do you think? I followed the directions to the T, but they were still good but not fluffy enough to me.
How strange, mine have always been very fluffy. Did you use buttermilk and measure your flour correctly? Scooping too much flour and over measuring and can cause any pancakes not rise correctly. Also make sure your baking soda and baking powder are not out of date. They should be replaced within 6 months of opening. And your butter should be real butter. I hope this helps! π
Wow! Wow! Wow! I made these today and my son and I gobbled them up. I substituted Presto Cake Flour and omitted the baking powder and salt and used only a 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda. Whipped up a buttermilk recipe with whole milk and White Vinegar and the rest is history. I had to add about another half of cup of flour with the Presto Cake Flour. Thanks again! This recipe is a keeper!
